OUR THEME & GUEST EXPERT THIS MONTH

In our next circle in SEPTEMBER, our focus will be on how to improve the quality of our SLEEP. In the circle, you will have a great chance to ask EXPERT OF THE MONTH, Rhyanne Hall, any questions you may have about practical ways of developing an effective day & night routine for a healthy night's sleep improvement, and how yoga practices can help to enhance these routines.

Rhyanne is a qualified and experienced Yoga Therapist, and she tells us that;

"We all need our sleep. Sleep is an important part of the human experience and interacts with many biological processes. And yet our modern life is not set up in a way to prioritise quality sleep. Sleep ‘quality’ refers to the time taken to fall asleep, the stages of sleep you experience, the number of disturbances you have in the night, which all contribute to the subjective feeling of being rested the next day.

Sleep can be both a contributor and a symptom to various health problems, both physical and mental and should be part of any wellbeing strategy.  To protect our health, it’s important to prioritise and engage in healthy sleep routines where we can. (Alongside of a consciously followed day & night routine) certain types of yoga practices have been shown to shift your nervous  system into parasympathetic mode - which is key for increasing your ‘sleep drive’."

WHO IS THIS CIRCLE FOR?

It is for every female (16+) who wants to develop an optimally healthy sleep routine. However, this session is extra beneficial for those females who are experiencing any sleep disorder such as insomnia, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome (RLS), narcolepsy as well as for those who are dealing with chronic stress and/or anxiety, menopausal women, exam students, who have a night shift job or a change affecting their daily schedule, new mums and women with certain illnesses such as cancer.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS CIRCLE?

This is a welcoming and empowering circle designed to inform women about many aspects of female well-being in their life. In fact, this circle is not different than a women-meet-up to share experiences, exchange ideas, inspire other women, but it's more structured and informative. You will also make new connections, and who knows, maybe you can make new friendships that will last a lifetime.

In the first part of the session, we will grab our hot drinks, gather in a circle and talk about the monthly theme. Our guest expert will help us understand the theme more deeply from a more scientific perspective to enable women of the circle to make informed choices in their lives. This part has a structure that will allow every woman of the circle to be a voice and to be heard with attention. Here you can ask as many questions as you want, tell us your story, make statements without fear of being judged, give and get support from other women, and feel empowered.

In the second part of the session, it's your choice to either join us on the yoga mat or just honour some quiet time with yourself to relax, keep a journal and digest everything you've learned and experienced during the first part. In this part of the evening, we will practise delicious yoga & mindfulness with the right level of mindful movement & deep rest to enhance the knowledge on a practical level. You will leave the circle feeling lighter, more relaxed, empowered and wiser. Refreshments will be served throughout the session, and there will be a small take-home gift.

Get ready to have a very nourishing experience and have fun with us!
